Position

Martha is also a NEXUS Trainee and is currently working on her PhD

  • Clinical Nurse Specialist, Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology, for the Heart Centre at St. Paul's Hospital
  • Adjunct Professor, School of Nursing, University of British Columbia (on leave)

Research Focus
  • Her research is in the area of gender differences in cardiac symptoms and also cardiac risk factor modification, in particular, interventions delivered in the hospital setting.
  • She has also conducted research on the topic of cardiac risk reduction for hospitalised patients, and develops and evaluates new clinical programs for cardiology patients and patients undergoing catheter-based cardiac procedures
